Situation

This charming Valais house is located in the upper western part of Riederalp, just a five-minute walk from the West cable car and the grocery store. The apartment has a south-facing balcony, which provides optimal sunshine all year round and guarantees absolute peace and quiet.

Surrounded by impressive mountain scenery and with a direct view of the Great Aletsch Glacier, Riederalp offers an incomparable nature experience. In summer there are numerous hiking and biking trails, in winter an extensive ski area with over 100 kilometers of pistes. The car-free Riederalp combines peace, relaxation and unspoiled nature with a modern tourist infrastructure - ideal for vacation guests and owners alike.

Municipality

The municipality of Riederalp in the canton of Valais lies at an altitude of 1,905 meters and is car-free. It is easily accessible by cable car or gondola lift from Mörel. With around 440 inhabitants, over 6,000 guest beds and around 300,000 overnight stays per year, tourism is the most important economic sector, supported by the hotel and restaurant industry. Riederalp has an elementary school in Ried-Mörel as well as various clubs and sports facilities. As an energy town, the municipality is committed to sustainability, with almost all of its electricity coming from hydropower

Shops/stores

With the Coop and the Prima, Riederalp has two stores that ensure an extended basic supply. Further shopping facilities can be found on the valley floor and in the nearby Naters-Brig-Glis conurbation.

Public transport

Riederalp is completely car-free. Only electric vehicles and a few agricultural vehicles operate in the village. The Alpe is easily accessible from Mörel by cable car or gondola lift
