Description
Where the slopes start right at your doorstep
Strap on your skis and be on the slopes in 3–4 minutes—that’s how simple life is here. This 2.5-room ground-floor apartment is located right in the heart of the Crans-Montana ski area and was completely renovated in 2025: new kitchen, new floors, new electrical panel, and newly furnished. The entire building was also upgraded in 2025—the entryway and decor were renovated by the homeowners’ association. With 33 m², a separate bedroom with its own bathroom, and a sleeper sofa in the living room, it accommodates up to 4 people—ideal as a vacation home or an investment property, in both winter and summer.
Advantages
- Just a 3–4-minute walk to the ski lifts – Strap on your skis right outside the door
- Great in summer, too: ideal for hiking and mountain biking right outside the door
- Completely renovated in 2025—new kitchen, new floors, new electrical panel, no pending renovations
- Entrance area and interior decor of the building to be renovated by the homeowners’ association in 2025
- Up to CHF 20,000 in rental potential per year
- Private basement and ski room/ski locker—enough space for all your gear
- Access to the shared laundry room
- Restaurants, shopping (10–12-minute walk), and a bus stop right in front of the house
Attractive for investors
Demand is already evident: Bookings totaling CHF 9,255 have already been received for the coming winter—CHF 1,126 in December, CHF 2,393 in January, and CHF 5,736 in February. And that’s even though it’s only September. More bookings are sure to follow.
The figures from recent years also speak for themselves: The previous owner generated approximately CHF 16,000 in rental income per year. The current owner already generated CHF 12,000 in the first year—despite several months of lost income due to renovation and personal use. With the renovation set to be completed in 2025 (kitchen, floors, electrical panel, and complete furnishings—with an investment of approximately CHF 20,000), the realistic future rental potential is around CHF 20,000 per year, which corresponds to approximately CHF 1,670 per month.
Good to Know
The apartment faces north and does not have a balcony or private outdoor area—but it more than makes up for this with its location right next to the ski area, low maintenance costs, and the freshly renovated condition of both the apartment and the building.

This apartment in the Crans-Montana ski resort is waiting for its new owners—as a vacation retreat or investment property, in both winter and summer. Contact me for more information.
Situation
The apartment is located in the heart of the Crans-Montana ski area, one of the most famous resorts in Valais, at an elevation of about 1,500 m. The ski lifts are just a 3–4-minute walk away—ideal for a hassle-free day of skiing without a long walk or a drive. Restaurants and shopping are a 10–12-minute walk away, and the bus stop right in front of the house provides convenient access to the rest of the village and the mountain railways.
Crans-Montana isn’t just attractive in winter: In summer, the numerous hiking trails and mountain bike routes around the village invite you to enjoy outdoor activities, and there are also golf courses and lakes in the surrounding area. The location is therefore ideal both for vacationers and as a year-round retreat, as well as for investors looking to benefit from year-round demand.
Municipality
The municipality of Crans-Montana was formed in 2017 through the merger of Chermignon, Mollens, Montana, and Randogne, and today has a population of approximately 10,500.
It spans 6,000 hectares from the Rhône Valley to the high mountains—and is one of the best-known vacation destinations in French-speaking Valais, characterized by alpine tourism, an international clientele, and a correspondingly well-developed infrastructure.
Access
Crans-Montana is easily accessible via the A9 highway to Sierre and from there via the mountain road. Alternatively, the Sierre–Montana–Crans funicular—at 4,192 meters, the longest above-ground funicular in Europe—takes you directly to the center in about 15 minutes. The Sierre train station has direct connections to Basel, Bern, Geneva, Lausanne, and Zurich, and the airports in Geneva and Sion are within easy driving distance.
Shops/stores
In Crans-Montana itself, you’ll find everything you need for daily life within walking distance: Migros, Coop, Denner, and Aldi, as well as a pharmacy, are all located in the center. In addition, there are around 250 boutiques and specialty shops that define the town’s character—from everyday shopping to browsing international brands, everything is right on your doorstep.
Public transport
Within Crans-Montana, the free SMC shuttle bus runs every 15–20 minutes (7:05 a.m.–7:37 p.m.) and connects the town center, residential neighborhoods, and mountain railways. Regionally, the town can also be reached from the Sierre train station by PostBus in about 35 minutes. So even without a car, residents here can easily get anywhere.
Leisure time
Crans-Montana offers a wide range of recreational activities for every season: in winter, skiing, cross-country skiing, and snowshoeing right on your doorstep; in summer, golf, mountain biking, hiking, and trail running. In addition, five swimming lakes, tennis, horseback riding, wellness facilities, and the casino are available year-round—along with a lively restaurant and nightlife scene. In short: there’s something for every season and every taste.
