Your day on the slopes is over, you’ve taken your last turn—and you’re already home. No car, no bus, no waiting: The slope leads right up to the residence in the quiet Vermala neighborhood of Crans-Montana. When you look out the large window in the living area, you see no traffic and no neighboring houses, just the forest—a view that never gets boring, even after your tenth day of skiing.
- Ski-in, ski-out right in front of the residence—after your last run, you’re home without any detours
- Just 200 m to the Arnouva ski lifts—more time on the slopes, less time on the way
- Montana’s center is a 7-minute walk away via the escalator – shops, restaurants, and bars without needing a car
- Completely renovated in 2021 and handed over fully furnished – move in or rent it out without investing a single franc more
- Quiet location with a view of the forest – a peaceful retreat, even though the center is just a few minutes’ walk away
- Private ski room with a designated locker right at the residence’s exit—keep your gear downstairs, not in the living room
- Bus stop right in front of the residence—stay mobile at all times, even without a car
- Already rented out as a vacation rental – Generates income from day one, with no ramp-up period
For investors, the studio has been in use for quite some time: Rented out as a vacation rental for short stays, it currently generates an annual return of around CHF 16,000—equivalent to just under CHF 1,330 per month—with a living area of only 20 m². The property was completely renovated and furnished in 2021, so there is no need for major repairs in the coming years. The residence’s renovation fund is in good shape, and annual operating costs amount to around CHF 2,000. In addition, the existing mortgage can be assumed—an advantage that significantly simplifies financing.
The residence is located in the quiet Vermala neighborhood, just 200 m from the Arnouva ski lifts—a short ski trail connects the last slope directly to the building. A covered parking lot is also being built right next to the base of the lifts. Via the escalator at the lifts, you can reach downtown Montana in less than 2 minutes on foot—where you’ll find shops, supermarkets, pharmacies, restaurants, bars, ski rentals, the casino, the lake, and the ice rink. A bus also stops right in front of the residence.

Situation
The apartment is located in the heart of the Crans-Montana ski area, one of the most famous resorts in Valais, at an elevation of about 1,500 m. The ski lifts are just a 3–4-minute walk away—ideal for a hassle-free day of skiing without a long walk or driving. Restaurants and shops are a 10–12-minute walk away, and the bus stop right in front of the house provides convenient access to the rest of the village and the mountain railways.
Crans-Montana isn’t just attractive in winter: In summer, the numerous hiking trails and mountain bike routes around the village invite you to enjoy outdoor activities, and there are also golf courses and lakes in the surrounding area. The location is therefore suitable both for vacationers and as a year-round retreat, as well as for investors who wish to benefit from year-round demand.
Municipality
The municipality of Crans-Montana was formed in 2017 through the merger of Chermignon, Mollens, Montana, and Randogne and now has a population of approximately 10,500.
It spans 6,000 hectares from the Rhône Valley to the high mountains—and is one of the best-known vacation destinations in the French-speaking part of Valais, characterized by alpine tourism, an international clientele, and a correspondingly well-developed infrastructure.
Access
Crans-Montana is easily accessible via the A9 highway to Sierre and from there via the mountain road. Alternatively, the Sierre–Montana–Crans funicular—at 4,192 meters, the longest above-ground funicular in Europe—takes you directly to the center in about 15 minutes. The Sierre train station is directly connected to Basel, Bern, Geneva, Lausanne, and Zurich, and the airports in Geneva and Sion are within easy driving distance.
Shops/stores
In Crans-Montana itself, you’ll find everything you need for daily life within walking distance: Migros, Coop, Denner, and Aldi, as well as a pharmacy, are all located in the town center. In addition, there are around 250 boutiques and specialty shops that define the town’s character—from everyday shopping to browsing international brands, everything is right on your doorstep.
Public transport
Within Crans-Montana, the free SMC shuttle bus runs every 15–20 minutes (7:05 a.m.–7:37 p.m.) and connects the town center, residential neighborhoods, and mountain railways. Regionally, the town can also be reached from the Sierre train station by PostBus in about 35 minutes. So even if you don’t have your own car, you can still get around easily.
Leisure time
Crans-Montana offers a wide range of recreational activities for every season: in winter, skiing, cross-country skiing, and snowshoeing right on your doorstep; in summer, golf, mountain biking, hiking, and trail running. In addition, five swimming lakes, tennis, horseback riding, wellness facilities, and the casino are available year-round—along with a lively restaurant and nightlife scene. In short: there’s something for every season and every taste.
