The village is known for its farming traditions, active community life, and strong sense of community. And for a unique feature found nowhere else in the world: the Grengjer tulip—a wild tulip species that blooms every May in the village’s fields.
Brig is about 13 km away, and Visp can be reached in about 30 minutes. Grengiols is directly connected to the rail network via the Matterhorn-Gotthard Railway.

By car — From the A9 highway, take the exit toward Mörel/Grengiols, then follow the cantonal road directly into the village. Brig is about 13 km away, and Visp is about a 30-minute drive.
